The San Diego North Economic Development Council (SDNEDC) is pleased to report that we have updated our website. The new site will provide more information about the SDNEDC, events in North County, and developments in the business community.
As with a global economy, economic sustainability reaches beyond city and county boundaries. Increasingly, the cities and businesses within North County have recognized that well thought out and coordinated development of the region as a whole will benefit individual communities and the businesses located there.
The “economic food chain” crosses over city lines as big businesses provide work for small businesses: big and small businesses provide jobs; jobs provide individuals the purchasing power to support local retail stores; increased sales and property tax revenues provide funding for cities to pay for needed public services. The days of a city being totally self-contained are gone. Today, we recognize the need to work together for the long-term viability or our economic base and quality of life.
